It's World Ovarian Cancer Day! Know the Symptoms!

Writer's picture: Clinic 66 OnlineClinic 66 Online

Known as "the Silent Killer", because it's often not diagnosed until the disease is well advanced, ovarian cancer can easily slip under the radar, with symptoms that are 'vague' to say the least! In Australia, we lose one woman every 8 hours to this disease.

It's important to note that whilst these symptoms can be caused by many other less serious medical conditions, it's best to talk to your doctor if you're experiencing any of them regularly.

Women over the age of 50 or those with a family history of ovarian cancer are at higher risk of getting ovarian cancer. However, women of all ages can get ovarian cancer.

If you're concerned, click through to our Ovarian Cancer page to find out more, download a symptom diary and make an appointment to see your GP in 4 weeks.

All our Clinic 66 and Clinic 66 Online doctors are well qualified to assist.
